It's been a while since I checked in here. My weight has gone up a bit, but not real bad: 3 or 4 pounds at this point, but I think I am okay with that under the circumstances. I've spoken in the past about having my thyroid removed due to cancer. I am still not on a medication so my metabolism is not good at all. It is also hard to be on a weight loss diet, when I am on an iodine free diet in preparation for a treatment. There are so many things I can't have.
The good news is I that I will have my radioactive iodine treatment this next week. 72 hours after that I can go back to eating normally (for me that is) and get to start up my thyroid replacement medication. I am excited to be able to go back on that. I really feel that once I do I can turn this thing around. So now my goal will be 13 or 14 pounds to lose. I am grateful I didn't gain back everything I lost originally or that number would be 40 pounds to lose.
So that's where I am today. A bit nervous about this radioactive iodine treatment, but also happy to be moving forward...

This is my first blog post here. I am hoping to lose about 10 pounds over the next month or so. I usually weigh in on Wednesdays, but this week on Wednesday I had to go have medical tests done instead of going to my WW meeting. I will be going to next week's weigh in unless something major disrupts my plans.
I find I do much better when I attend the WW meetings- even when I was just trying to maintain, so it's important that I start back to the meetings.
